The Problem
When Adobe released it latest version of Photoshop both Photoshop CS and Photoshop CS2, they got rid of a very awesome plugin that they had. I t was used to create 3d boxes and stuff like that. But, they got rid of it! Which really stinks! So some people suggested to put in your CS cd and then install it off of there. But... I downloaded the upgrade from Adobe and never got a CD. So I was stuck. So I found the file, and am now uploading it for your pleasure!

You remember the 3D Transform filter in Photoshop 7 right? In CS Adobe removed that filter. If you need it, but you can't or don't want to install Photoshop 7 I will show you how to integrate it in Photoshop CS.
1. Download this file -> CLICK HERE (http://www.alldivx.net/vr/tutorials/images/3D%20Transform.8BF). If you keep your old Photoshop 7 you can take it from there it's in the Plug-Ins\Filters folder, it's called 3D Transform.8BF.
2. Copy this file into Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Filters folder and restart Photoshop.
3. Enjoy... |
Appendix
To install the plugin, make sure that Photoshop CS is not open on the computer.
Then download 3D Transform.8BF and place the file in your
..\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Filters Folder.
The default Installation is: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Filters
The filter is now installed. Open Photoshop and the 3D Transform filter will be under:
filters > render > 3D Transform |
Where's my 3D Transform Filter?
If you use Photoshop CS then you must’ve noticed that you don’t have the 3D Transform Filter anymore. The Adobe team actually removed it from Photoshop CS. Perhaps, they thought that it is quite useless. But you could use it even now. If you still have Photoshop 7.0 in your computer, go to the folder
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Plug-Ins\Filters
and copy the file named 3D Transform.8BF and paste it in
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Filters.
If you don’t have Photoshop 7.0 in your computer, you could download the filter from here and paste it in the folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Filters
Restart your Photoshop and you will have your 3D Transform Filter back! You can find it under Filter>Render>3D Transform. Enjoy! |
